Timber cut to order
Mike and Jo farm seventy acres of organic pasture, woodland and orchards much of which is a County Wildlife Site. The woodlands are managed for conservation with nest boxes for pied flycatchers, dormice, pine martins and owls. Leaky woody dams have been built on the river to hold back water on the floodplain during peak flood events, helping to protect farmland and houses downstream. They have just started some agroforestry fruit tree planting.
Timber from larch, douglas fir and oak is milled to order, and some dry timber is available if you are short of a piece.
